Off-Peak
Off-peak, when demand for electricity is lowest. Ontario households use the majority of their electricity, nearly two thirds of them, during off-peak hours.
Mid-Peak
Mid-peak, when demand for electricity is moderate. These periods are during the daytime, but not the busiest times of day.
On-Peak
On-peak, when demand is highest. The busiest times of day. Generally when people are cooking, firing up their computers and running heaters or air conditioners.
Weekdays

Between May 1st, 2021 to October 31, 2022, the time-of-use pricing is as follows:
Off-peak between 12:00 AM and 7:00 AM,
Mid-peak between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM,
On-peak between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM,
Mid-peak between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM,
Off-peak between 7:00 PM and 12:AM
Weekends and Holidays
May 1 — Oct 31
During weekends and holidays, off-peak rates are in effects for 24 hours a day.
